I feel humbled to be invited to talk and be interviewed in a tech podcast recently and I wanted to share about it. ExtendSweden is an English-speaking podcast is based in Sweden and is hosted by Dafna Rosenblum and Tsedey Terefe.
Dafna currently work as a Tech Director at ApeGroup and Tsedey is a Frontend Developer at Zerebra in Stockholm, Sweden. In October 2020 (in our current Covid-19 pandemic times), they both decided to team up and collaborate in creating ExtendSweden.
The Podcast, Gender Equality, Diversity, Inclusion in Tech
Dafna had a podcast in Israel which is part of a non-profit organization called Extend Tech that she started. With her hope to bring and extend tech to Sweden, she decided to create a podcast with Tsedey who also want to collaborate and make an impact in our online tech community. Tsedey and Dafna wants to help by empowering women in tech by discussing different topics in the IT industry and individual experience through ExtendSweden podcast.
The podcast idea started by meeting in a common Facebook-group called WOCTECH – Women of Colour in Tech, Digital and Agency Business in Sweden. In which I am also now a member of.
Dafna and Tsedey have the passion and intention in making a difference in the tech industry here in Sweden specially when it comes to gender equality, diversity and inclusion of underrepresented groups. I personally support their vision as I can relate to it so much.
I am glad to have both of them as my professional contacts and new tech friends here in Sweden. Looking forward to connect, support and collaborate more in their women in tech networking ventures!
